A dashboard remembers the questions, not the numbers, so every open shows today's answer.
Overview
A dashboard remembers the questions behind its charts, not the numbers. When you open it, Mira asks each question again and looks up today's answer in your tables. Nothing is kept as a snapshot, so a dashboard cannot go stale.
When the numbers are fetched
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| You open the dashboard | Every chart is looked up afresh. |
| Every fifteen minutes while it is open | The charts refresh on their own. |
| You come back to the tab after a while | If more than fifteen minutes have passed, it refreshes straight away. |
A hidden tab does not refresh, and nor does an unsaved canvas. See Building a dashboard.
What this means for you
A dashboard built for a Monday meeting is right on any Monday. If a table is uploaded again or a connected system syncs, the next open shows it. And two people looking at the same dashboard see the same numbers, because both are asking the same questions of the same tables.
